The arms race that was an eye-catching competition for military supremacy between the Russian Federation and the United States officially began in 1946.  The goal of this competition was to prove who was more powerful.  The two nations competed to produce as much weapons, military, and superior military technology.              

 

 

The CWC is administered by the OPCW (Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) which conducts inspections of industrial plants in all of the member nations as well as working with stockpile nations.
